Stephanie Guidera is located in Raleigh, North Carolina. She holds a Master of Arts degree and Certificate of Advanced Study in Art Conservation at the Patricia H. & Richard E. Garman Art Conservation Department, State University of New York at Buffalo State. Employment experiences include Objects Conservator at North Carolina Museum of History and North Carolina Museum of Art, Andrew W. Mellon Fellow in Objects Conservation at the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C., and graduate internships at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, National Museum of American History, Alaska State Museum, and Cleveland Museum of Art.
A figurative painter and illustrator from Minneapolis, Stephanie graduated with a Bachelor’s of Studio Art with a technical theater design minor from Concordia University, St. Paul, MN. Prior to graduate school, Stephanie held internships and technician positions in the Twin Cities at the Midwest Art Conservation Center, Fine Arts Conservation LLC, Science Museum of Minnesota, and Walker Art Center. Experience included preventive, objects, paintings, paper, and textile conservation.
