Social Stereotypes
This body of work takes a serious look at classical portraiture and the role it has played in society over time. To illustrate current society in the USA, the stereotypes were chosen and painted; using techniques, compositional cues and other ideology from art history. In addition, the model for all these pieces was consistent, keeping in tradition of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, whose works evoked a similar commentary. Works completed 2010-2012.
